Merlin has acquired a substantial position in the equity of the Dutch market leader for Casino Management Software, REAC BV and REAC solutions BV (“REAC”) The objective for this investment it to increase the speed of international expansion for both companies and to become a one-stop-shop for all our customers and partners in the entertainment and gaming sector, both in The Netherlands and internationally. The combination of the companies creates a total solution for the market.
REAC has been active for over 25 years and is the undisputed market leader in the Netherlands for Management Software for the gaming industry (MIS). REAC offers solutions which facilitate responsible gaming and provide closed loop loyalty and payment systems. Next to their software the company supplies, installs and maintains redemption machines for arcades. Today over 25.000 slot machines are connected to the REAC system worldwide.
Merlin is an innovative and fast-growing technology company specializing in hybrid (cash and non-cash) payment solutions. Through its Lincsafe brand it offers Intelligent safes (smart safes) which in combination with its in-house developed and produced equipment and software, provides retailers with a secure and cost-effective system to manage their cash. The Lincsafe software portal is integrated with the armoured car companies’ systems, enabling merchants to have direct credit to their bank account as soon as the money is put in the smart safe. In addition, the company offers, though its Cash Tester label, desktop equipment for counting and verifying cash in over 20 countries. All these brands are part of Payco Holding, an investment of Capital A (former ABN AMRO Private Equity).
